​DONALD J. HODGINS

Owner/Operator/President
Donnie has over 45 years experience in the asphalt paving business. He started out working for his father when he was just 13 years old. It didn't take him long to learn the trade. He continued to work for his father until 1996 when he bought the company from his father. From that point on, he has strived to build the business into what it is today. He works very hard and takes great pride in each and every job. When it comes to Donnie, we like to say "Owner/Operator-Always On The Job".

​DONALD B. HODGINS

Supervisor/Equipment Operator
Don has over 60 years experience in the asphalt paving business and is the father to Donnie. He is the foreman and operator of the grade crew. Don is our expert when it comes to drainage issues. He can turn your muddy mess into a beautiful looking driveway. He also specializes in installing septic systems, operating heavy equipment and has plenty of expertise in excavation. He is also state certified in storm water management

​SANDY HODGINS

Vice President
Sandy has over 53 years experience in the asphalt paving business and is the mother to Donnie. Sandy manages the offices. Her duties include but are not limited to: financials, accounting, payroll, personnel records, advertising and inventory. The sign on her wall states: Do you want to talk to the man in charge, or the woman who knows what's going on?

TOnya hodgins

Customer Relations
Tonya has over 39 years experience in the asphalt paving business and is the sister to Donnie. Her duties include scheduling estimates, ordering supplies, and filing County and State permits. Once in a while she gets called out of the office to go on the jobsite and help out. Tonya is known for keeping the humor going around the shop.

hudson hodgins

Laborer/Operator
Hudson is the youngest of Donnie's 3 children. He has worked with the crew for a few years and is currently learning the ropes. He is also a junior at Northwood University, studying business. He's been a great asset to the company. 

Liv hodgins

Receptionist
Livi is Donnie's middle child. She is currently attending Saginaw Valley State University and helps out part time answering the phone, filing, and more.

​TOM RYLAND

Salesman/Operator/Paving Specialist
​Tom has over 55 years experience in the asphalt paving business and is an uncle to Donnie. Tom has recently turned to retirement but is often called to help due to his expertise in the business. 

​JOHN (HORSE) RYLAND

Forever Advisor
​John was the grandfather to Donnie. John passed away at the age of 88 with over 65 years of experience in the asphalt paving business. When it came to the trade, retirement was not an easy option for him. John put his heart and soul into his work. Although he had finally put down his pencil we all still turned to him for his expert advice, and he was more than happy to give it. It hasn't been the same without his witty expertise but he is still with us every day.

tony ryland

Operator/Sales
Tony has over 28 years experience in the asphalt paving business and is a cousin to Donnie. Tony is the head roller operator and does a great deal of the estimating. He is a very knowledgeable and dedicated employee. Hodgins is blessed to have him on the team.

Tracey Ryland

Customer Relations
Tracey started a couple years ago and has been a great help dealing with scheduling estimates, job schedules, ordering supplies, filing County and State permits, and more.

Eddie herline

Operator/Grade Crew Foreman
Eddie has over 25 years experience in the asphalt paving business. He has the ability to make his grade tractor talk. He has the eye for how the job layout needs to be. We are proud to have him.

john zettel

Truck Driver
​John has over 37 years experience driving truck in the asphalt paving business. He is a great truck driver and a good help on the job.

mark howland

Raker/Laborer
Mark has over 18 years of experience in asphalt paving. His expertise is running the screw and raking, he occasionally drives truck as well. He's always a great help.

Ed brown

Maintenance/ Truck Driver
Ed has over 12 years of asphalt paving experience. He drives truck for us and is in charge of maintenance due to his expertise.

ethan campbell

Raker/Paver Operator
Ethan has 9 years of experience in the asphalt paving business. He is in charge of hauling and maintenance of the paver. He rakes, shovels, and operates the paver + skidsteer. 

fred howland

Truck Driver
Fred has over 36 years experience in asphalt paving and over 30 years truck driving experience. He also has years of experience operating equipment.

Laborer/ Roller Operator
Tony has over 19 years experience in asphalt paving and grading. He is a great asset to the paving crew.

Jeffrey rau

Grade Crew/Truck Driver
Jeffrey has over 5 years of experience with the company. He drives truck and works on our grade crew. He has been a good asset to the company.

Brett lerner

Truck Driver
Brett has 4 years of experience with the company and drives truck for us. He has been a good addition to the crew.

Erika quigley

Receptionist
Erika has a few years of experience with the business. Her duties include filing, scheduling and typing estimates.

Mason Herline

Laborer
Son of Eddie, Mason joined the crew this summer and has been a great help as a laborer.

Josh Simonis

Laborer
Josh joined the crew a couple years ago and has been a huge help on the paving crew.

Nathan Burr

Truck Driver
Nathan joined us this year as a truck driver and has been a key asset to hauling material. 

Maui

Supervisor
Maui is the supervisor in the office. She puts in many hours sleeping and protecting the office. 

Ziggy

Co-Supervisor
Ziggy is the Co-Supervisor around the office. Him and Maui make sure to keep the good vibes in the office.
